Don't Miss the Upcoming Snacks and Snakes Programs!

July 26, 2016
Camp Chan Ya Ta - Worden
2-5:30 p.m.

Educational presentations involving using live animals can create a huge impact on someone's life. Being able to interact with animals in a controlled environment with an educator can very quickly turn fear into fascination. All animals used for these presentations have been conditioned to a presentation environment and are very well socialized (some have up to 16 years of experience working with children!) Any animal that has not been conditioned will remain in a display tank only. These presentations always start with a long discussion about how individuals feel/think about snakes and reptiles. Followed by a very in depth safety talk, highlighting that no one will be touching the snakes during the presentation and focusing on group calmness, and quiet behavior.
