How You Can Join In Girl Scouts' National I Can't Wait To Campaign!

In Girl Scouts, girls are always counting down to the next adventure we’ll go on. Maybe it’s artistic. Maybe it’s an experiment. Maybe it’s getting outside or helping the community. With US, she’ll make a bunch of new friends and have a ton of new experiences.

During the 2014-2015 Membership Year we’re kicking off our Back to School campaign. YOU can help by sharing information about the I Can’t Wait To Back to School Campaign with your friends, families, neighbors and volunteers.

Here’s what we will be pitching and needing you to help share with your friends, families, neighbors, volunteers and on social media:

  • Girl Scouts provides the most bang for the buck! For just $15, a girl will have access to tons of new, fun and amazing experiences. Girl Scouts offers a wide array of exciting activities that give girls the chance to explore their world and discover their passions.
  • Anyone can volunteer! Calling all moms, dads, grandparents, recent grads, lawyers, teachers, and rocket scientists.  Everyone can be a Girl Scout volunteer, no matter how much time you have or your level of Girl Scout expertise.
  • Too many girls are on waiting lists -- volunteer now! By volunteering today, you make a real impact on a girl's life!

March Membership Mania Week 2 Update!

We are officially on our 2nd week of Membership March Mania fun! Here are this week's highlight results: 458 Completed Registrations received since 3.1.14 We are only 567 away from hitting this goal!

As of March 6, Service Unit 27 only needs 25 more completed registrations to hit their Service Unit incentive!

Here are some ideas that can help you reach your goal: (1) provide your MDM with the contact information of a school or community center that will let us come in and host a BFF (Be A Friend First) program. These programs often help bring in many girls who decide they want to have an ongoing connection as a Girl Scout; (2) Tell your friends, families, neighbors about the awesome opportunities available at GSSI for girls and adults and send them the registration form; (3) Pass flyers around at your church or since the weather is getting better, post a flyer at your local park and community centers. If you would like more ideas on how to promote Girl Scouts and reach your incentive goals, please contact your MDM.

Ask Membership: Is There a Volunteer Recruitment Program?

Dear Membership,
My troop LOVES the Girls Guiding Girls to Girl Scouts (4G’s) recruitment program! They are so good at getting other girls to join Girl Scouts that we have had to form a new Girl Scout troop for our program level. While forming the new troop I recruited new Girl Scout leaders. Is there any type of 4G’s program for adults? –Love Bringing Girls and Adults to Girl Scouts

Dear Love Bringing Girls and Adults to Girl Scouts,
Thank you to you and your girls for helping to bring the Girl Scout program to more girls! The Membership Department recognizes that many leaders are recruiting new leaders so we created a program similar to 4G’s just for you. The Legacy Leaders Leading a Legacy (4L’s) is a way to reward registered adult Girl Scout volunteers who recruit at least one adult who is not currently registered as a Girl Scout for 2013-2014 membership year.

The 4L’s perks for the recruiter include the following:
• Free t-shirt for the recruiter (one per recruiter).
• The proud feeling of sharing Girl Scouting with other girls in your community.
• Entry into a drawing for a special prize.
The 4L’s form must be filled out  and the newly recruited volunteer must register using the 4L’s registration form by December 15, 2013 in order to participate in the program.  Additional forms can be found online and/or obtained from your Membership Development Manager. Please contact your MDM with any questions. -Membership
